XIP Pty Ltd is a limited company established in 1999 with the aim of becoming a small, customer-focussed enterprise that satisfies the varying patent information needs of the global generic pharmaceutical industry.

Over time, domestic patent information demands forced XIP to spread its operations to include patents services in relation to much broader technological fields, whilst continuing with a specialisation in patent searching and consultancy services to the generic pharmaceutical industry.

In 2006 XIP refocused its operations, such that all generic pharmaceutical patent intelligence (patent information and searching) is now provided by its sister company GenericsWeb Pty Ltd (visit www.genericsweb.com for more information), enabling XIP to focus on the consultancy type services for which it has become renowned.

Furthermore, due to the increasing importance and awareness of patent information and the associated increase in the number of internal patent departments, XIP ceased provision of general patent information and searching services, instead using its vast experience and knowledge to assist companies in developing their own in-house patent information and searching resources.

XIP has since strengthened its position in both of these fields by reaching agreements with key alliances to enable continuance of the high quality experiences and outcomes that its customers have come to expect.
